Colleague Thaddeus McCotter spends a swift five minutes on Fox's late night chat show hosted by the versatile Greg Gutfeld. That Thaddeus McCotter makes a coherent case for the GOP while avoiding the negative about the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress is a credit to his wit and camera skills. There is a fine moment about the rock'n'roll band "Rush," and also Thaddeus McCotter's "Second Amendment" band, now on sabbatical, receives nostalgiac attention.

Lovely to see one on our side so light on his feet; so articulate; so relaxed; so on message. Thaddeus knows what's at stake. He also knows the pitfalls. It's a good start to erasing the image of elephantine Republicans, hiding gracelessly in the tall (barely concealing) grass; or of others, furtively sneeking across the aisle to mingle with the asses, hoping their ears won't give them away.
Is it me, or does the Great Thaddeus McCotter sound a bit like the Great Tom Bodett?
