Murders.  Turkey supplying Boko Haram in northern Nigeria. Players think they can go on stealing, at massive scale, forever without collapsing the state. Fighting over plunder in Abuja.  Boko Haram, spreading from the Northeast to across the north. Supplies from Sudan.  Nigerian mil: food money stolen by the central govt, so soldiers are extremely dispirited.  Many solders dying in fighting, Leadership highly corrupt. Nigerian Defense Intell Agy, now in close contact with US DIA, is rogue.

Hour Two
Friday  17 August 2018 / Hour 2, Block A:  Michael E Vlahos, Johns Hopkins, in re: USA conflict.  New Zealand has banned foreign ownership of land, much of which has recently been sold to rich international figures.  NZ holds that these people have bought property to flee to in case of a global mess (“a bolt-hole”).    The arrogant elite, the <1% that runs the world, has identified NZ as the best “bug-out” place. The superrich can fly their private jets in to NZ, and then signal to Kiwis that they, the local citizens, are merely the people who serve the Davos global elite.  Today, a new bill was  introduced in the Australian parliament to the same effect.  Buyers in NZ: foreign billionaires, James Cameron, US hedgies, Russian oligarchs, Peter Thiel, et al. The tectonic movement, the geologic scraping of plates of 12016, is not about Trump but about the intl rebellion holding that all people have to be treated equally. Recall Roman senators who owned more money than did the entire Roman state.  (1 of 2)

Standardizing the design in order to make many more, and cheaply. In Dec, will send one to the far side of the Moon, where communications are nil.  China has already got a satellite there for comms.
Mars Reconnaissance High-Res Camera.  . . . Small white spots on Jupiter; can see swirls, and thunderheads on cloud-tops. Cf, Van Gogh’s Starry Night.  . . .  Exoplanet with absurdly high temps; titanium & iron in clouds in its atmosphere.
Friday  17 August 2018 / Hour 2, Block D: Robert Zimmerman, behindtheBlack.com, in re: Narendra Modi announces that India will enter space. /  Should SpaceX buy Tesla?
