JOHN BATCHELOR SHOW
Hour One
Friday 20 December 2019 / Hour 1, Block A: Devin Nunes, House Intelligence Committee, Ranking member; CA-22; in re:  Lee Smith, ___ Appleman and I spoke for about an hour in my home district where a thousand people gathered to learn about what began as Russiagate. When I was in New York brief, , I was approached by a woman with her small children who recognized me and gave me [a tongue-lashing] because she thought I was a pawn of the Russians; a few minutes later, what I took to be her father came up to me and accused me and all my Republican colleagues of being Russian agents.  I was flabbergasted.
And this economy is booming; unemployment is at a half-century low, and the world is relatively t peace.  Millions of Americans think the GOP is controlled by Putin and the news media are rooting for a recession.  . . .  The FISA court is not being transparent, either: we told it twice that there was a big problem – the Steele dossier was bunk, that it was political garbage, it was fed to [unethical ] media, and those articles were fed to the FISA court. To boot, the FBI and DoJ stripped out exculpatory evidence and prevented the FISC from seeing it. The FBI has known of this for a really long time, and the courts knew it from us – but they did nothing. Christopher Wray and Rob Rosenstein have not yet apologized; they hid information, which was wholly unacceptable.
Friday 20 December 2019 / Hour 1, Block B: : Devin Nunes, House Intelligence Committee, Ranking member; CA-22; in re:  Mrs Pelosi’s delaying the impeachment is bizarre. Random Americans ask m, Is the resident impeached?  I have to say, After three years of trying, and then not transferring it to the Senate — I don’t know. There’s no crime; what is it?  House won’t even take the matter to the courts. I have no idea how to explain this to Americans, even to my wife.
She’s saying, W e impeached but won’t submit it to the Senate unless the Senate agrees to our terms and protocols.  What??
