Thursday 14 March 2019/ Hour 1, Block A:  Dr. Taleh Ziyadov, Port of Baku director-general, in re:  Azerbaijan is the bridge between two continents.  Has risen from the ashes of the Soviet Union.  Can register a business, sell shares, perform all technological deeds, on your iPhone.   The concept of hub historically was driven by caravans, then ocean liners; now, everything is trackable on an iPhone.
Last year, the long-awaited convention [The Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea is a treaty signed at the Fifth Caspian Summit in Aktau, Kazakhstan, on 12 August 2018 by the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan] brought certitude to the five littoral states.  We have a good port and good railways, but if our neighbors don't we’ll all be stuck; we want all of them to develop, as they want us to. A win-win strategy to common prosperity.

Poets here are the rock stars of the country; Nizami Ganjavi is Azerbaijani (not Persian, as the State Department has accidentally claimed).  Last night’s dinner with President Aliyev. The rich and amazing hospitality: not only personally, but they want American business to come in.  All leaders in the country say, “We’re open to the world” — this nation is open for business. Ashraf Gani was present; Kerry Kennedy was, also, accepting an award.  Farid Zakaria of CNN at the dinner. Monica loved the Caucasus.

Thursday 14 March 2019/ Hour 2, Block D:  Tural Ganjaliyev, Nagorno-Karabakh, Republic of Azerbaijan, in re: The frozen conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.  OECD group is carrying out mediation, unfortunately with no result yet. UN, EU, Council of Europe, and others, have made clear that they recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan (i.e., oppose Armenia’s theft of land).  We ask Americans please to support a just peace.  The Armenian diaspora in America tells the story falsely; have organized and spent more money than Azerbaijanis have.
Restoration of transport links, energy transport, many deeds will create harmony, peace, prosperity.
