Hour One
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 1, Block A:  Sebastian Gorka, author, Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War; in re: Bomb factory in Paris.  ISIS promises revenge.  Classic explosive devices: TATP.  An example of  “See something, say something” actually worked:  odd-looking stuff on a balcony.  Linked to Syria. There’s always an intl aspect to the plots we’ve seen of late.  Anent the Spanish bomb factory with 120 gas canisters: upscaling on the European continent.  No longer bother even muttering “lone wolf.” Note that a jhadi mastermind can go to another country and hide for four months at a time: this cannot be allowed to continue.
The Deuxieme Bureau is extremely well informed, from la francophonie, inter al., and don't even have the rules of engagement that oblige us.  France has an interesting attitude over 40 years: some groups, esp Palestinian. Allowed to function in France: a political modus vivendi. With other groups, an utter ruthlessness and efficacy. Their problems have been the lack of Schengen borders. Most effective prosaic description: we support others, but have tier one elements in theater – stacking ISIS like cordwood; Mattis moving from attrition to obliteration. Also, the real estate of the caliphate is no longer.  Note the irony of previous administration’s unwillingness to do what we’ve done, yet sitting n Oval Office and deciding which individuals must die.
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 1, Block B:  Sebastian Gorka, author, Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War; in re:  Syria. Deir al Zour, where ISIS leadership fled to.  Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Assad.

Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 1, Block C: Gregory Copley, editor-in-chief of Defense & Foreign Affairs publications, and the Global Information System (GIS); in re:  What’s Putin up to?   Russia has always been North Korea’s main ally, not China, but it squirms under the overlordship of China and wants to escape.  Dropping the atomic bomb on Japan was above all designed to stop the expansion of Soviet forces. . . . Japan wants logistic line to go though South then North Korea, then across Russia to Europe, and deprive China of control. Clear that Trump has been bogged down by his military staff, in a status-quo-oriented approach, with few options esp after statements by the military: Go to war with DPRK or accept that its nuclear capacity is here to stay.
Eastern Economic Forum near Vladivostok.   Cd have a peace treaty between South & North Korea. Tillerson has been saying “We’re ready to talk,” but the DPRK’s launches seemed to have been one demonstration too far.  China has been strangely silent, always been hostile to Russia and North Korea.
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 1, Block D:  Gregory Copley, editor-in-chief of Defense & Foreign Affairs publications, and the Global Information System (GIS); in re:  North Korea, China.   Russia, US media, Australia, Japan.  Circumventing “One Belt/One Road.”

Hour Two
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 2, Block A:  Andrew C McCarthy, National Review, and Thaddeus McCotter, WJR, the Great Voice of the Great Lakes, in re: DACA.  Pelosi: “You [DACA] have nothing to worry about.”  Remarkable transformation from Candidate Trump to President Trump. Executing laws anent prosecutorial discretion.  [Explication here.]
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 2, Block B:  Curtis Sliwa, founder and Chief Poo-Bah of the Guardian Angels; a primary host on WABC Radio in New York;  in re:  Brooklyn’s annual West Indian Day parade, preceded by J’ouvert [pron: zhoo-veh], the parade from darkness to dawn. Tradition began in Trinidad with mini-carnivals; at emancipation, they embrace J’ouvert as an expression of their new freedom. In  T&T, they smear mud and oil on semi-naked bodies as they dance and twist up the street. Largest contingents from Jamaica or Trinidad; wrap national flags around heir neck, then pull the flags above their face and start prowling for women, smoking ganja, and even shooting. Has been tainted by the violence of the last dozen years.
This year, there are twelve entry points where the NYPD searched closely, the people herded into cattle pens.   Mayor doesn't get there, as he rises very late in the day, so he goes to the main parade that starts elevenish.  Eric Adams also attends the main parade.
DeBlasio the Pretentious told New York Magazine that he deserves to have a parade in his own honor.   “I have but one life to give for Pay to Play” [for the vampire real estate interest in New York City that, along with the banks and financial institutions, tend to control all major events and social structures in the five boroughs].  DeBlasio worked for Andrew Como in an earlier administration; now both want to run for the presidency in 2020 and no longer speak to each other at all at all.

The West Indian Day Parade 2017 and carnival is one of the best things to do in summer, as the event draws close to two million people during Labor Day weekend. (So, yeah, you could consider this the most exciting Labor Day Parade NYC has to offer). Instead of spending your day off at one many New York beaches, consider immersing yourself in rich Caribbean culture and heritage—it’s bound to be one of the best parties in New York this year.
When is the West Indian Day Parade?  The West Indian Day Parade is Monday, September 4, 2017. The march starts at 11am.
Where is the West Indian Day Parade?  During the seven-hour New York carnival, steel-pan and calypso bands in elaborate costumes march down Eastern Parkway, and vendors sell homestyle island grub along the route in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The parade starts at the Brooklyn Museum.
What can you do before the West Indian Day Parade?  The pre-parade parties begin before dawn with J’ouvert (daybreak in French), an irreverent festival held before the parade.
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 2, Block C:  David M Drucker, CNN and Washington Examiner; in re: The ongoing Washington and White House dramas.
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 2, Block D: Rick Fisher,  ‎International Assessment and Strategy Center, and Gordon Chang, Daily Beast, in re: North Korean weapons. Janes: PLA navy has deployed on its ships a new antisurface warfare missile, YJ18; a two-stage: subsonic (180 km) then Mach 3 releases and manoeuvers. Very very difficult for US and allied ships to shoot down; Russian-designed. On Chinese ships and subs.  In a decade we may have a counter  . . .

Hour Three
Thursday   7 September 2017  / Hour 3, Block A: Monica Crowley, London Center for Policy research, in re: Hillary Clinton on a book tour, now blaming James Comey. Why is she doing this to the Democratic party? The arty s looking for fresh faces; she is no longer a possible candidate. The third time is the charm: NOT.    Dems are quoted as saying, “This book is the final torture.”  . . .
