[So’s the Nasdaq. —ed]  Ray Dalio!  He embraces the capitalist system and also is most worried about rising inequality, which he calls an existential threat to society. . . .  Venezuela has been wrecked by government, not by private enterprise.  Rich people create opportunity.  . . . Trade deficits signal that we’re a magnet for investment. . . . ADP is the most prominent payroll firm in the US; creates monthly unemployment stats.  The govt does this (in an antiquated and less-than-thorough way) at $640 million a year, whereas ADP does it with several employees and offers it to the public for free.

Pipeline capacity: 1 million Bbl/day.  BP, Exxon, Chevron. Companies prefer not to have a small stake, which gives them almost no control.  Pres Sisi at White House last week: Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum. Smart of the US to be an observer here. Next (second) meeting: will begin making big decisions.  Over more meetings will figure out structure, institutional mandates, etc.  Main goal: send gas to Egypt, turn it into LNG, ship it out.
