Sag bark hickory.  Cicadas humming (not the seventeen-year locusts), birds, dappled light.  Wasps look for a place to lay eggs; daddy-long-legs, cave cricket. forest floor: leaf litter from the year before in infinite shadings of brown; the perfume of humus. Japanese say, "forest bath."  Richard Dawkins, of he reductionist notion that everything can be reduced to the movement of atoms, electrons; also a campaigning atheist asserverating that all that exists is the material world.  Haskell says he has a strong suspicion that there's more here than just atoms moving around. Haskell – b. England, raised in Paris, now a scholar in Tennessee. In the last Ice Age, much of North America was scoured by glaciers, but they stopped before reaching Tennessee, so there wasn't a sudden cessation and renewal there; the natural world is consequently many thousands of years older than in the north.  Mandala – Tibetan sand-panting – as simile for this part of the forest floor.

Entrance at the site, another close to the edge of the mountain; huge entrance, heavy eqpt inside; holes – that cd be air vents for the tunnels,  not sure. Clearly see the movement of the earth and how they've covered it.  May have bout ht the device from North Korea: neutron detector. Yellowcake goes in, material sent to Natanz and Fardow; also four others of which the IAEA is not aware. Note that they’ve planted trees all across this enormous site to cover it from eyes.  Many miles of trees planted across the site.
