Hour One
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 1, Block A: Tom Joscelyn, Long War Journal and FDD; Bill Roggio, Long War Journal and FDD, in re: Al Qaeda and Taliban and Khorasan in Afghanistan (1 of 2)
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 1, Block B: Tom Joscelyn, Long War Journal and FDD; Bill Roggio, Long War Journal and FDD, in re: Al Qaeda and Taliban and Khorasan in Afghanistan (2 of 2)
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 1, Block C:   Gordon Chang, Forbes.com, in re:  Did the White House back down on taking care with Chinese delegation arriving soon in the US?  Most American commentators underestimate US strength and overestimate Chine power.   Chinese exports have fallen by __%, and imports, by 18% . Chinese economy growing by 1& or .5%, and heading downward; in a quarter or two Wall street will be shocked, and lose a lot of money by making he wrong calls.  Hong Kong IPOs have fallen off a cliff – this isn't exim, it's financial markets. China lied for a long time and we can't make up for that.  Chinese financial svces sent back to the stone age. And it's drastically worse inside the Mainland.  China took $2.5 trillion of value out of US market – the Dow ; Wall Street thought it could trade liberty for prosperity: why is Washington so ignorant of the true nature of this regime?  Dunno, but probably optimism; Reagan taught: The nature of regimes matters.  The American political class has forgotten that.
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 1, Block D:  Charles Ortel, financial analyst and investor, in re: The Clinton Foundation, which has outstanding records to regulatory bodies that need to be filed by 15 Nov, esp  Jan to April 2009: a gap.  . . .  Foundation's financial statements were in horrific state – late, disorganized and visibly false.  . . . Why? Perhaps because they were confident they'd win, and mistakes wouldn't mater; then when Mrs C was Secy, they had ties to the IRS. Only now are people starting to pay attention.  Fdn filed in Arkansas; but no communication with New York of Boston, plus worldwide operations. Eric Braverman,  young, a friend of Chelsea; did try to put order in, but still filings were late and incomplete. PWC auditor: demands that management issue a representation letter, which Braverman refused to sign, so he left – "a screaming red flag."  A replacement came in.  May not fundraise across state of national lines if  . . . If we had a non-politicized IRS – oops: Lois Lerner was in charge.
Experto de Wall Street: La Fundación Clinton es una "vasta conspiración criminal"

Hour Two
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 2, Block A:  John Fund, NRO, and David Drucker, Hoover and Washington Examiner, in re:  Mrs Clinton's campaign: Dem leading females are deserting her at a rapid rate: 29% in eight weeks, from 71% to 42%. Nobody is speaking ill of Bernie Sanders, whereas everyone is unfavorably impressed by Mrs Clinton.  She's gone from being a role model to being the unreliable, backstabbing neighbor. Part of the anti-Washington wave. Nixon stayed in favor by continuing to fundraise for the GOP.   . .  . The age of politics we're in is far more open and democratic – used to be ore closed, but in a C-SPAN Internet age, it's much more transparent, which make Mrs C look as though she's stonewalling.  Nixon: "I carried all the water for the 1958 midterm election."  In England, Corbin leading Labor now; Bernie Sander is equally discontinuous with US history – has asks for a 95% confiscatory tax on the rich.  Reaction to the 2008 events.  I fear that Mrs Clinton's weakness will be replaced by a [far-left] reaction in the Democratic Party.   Unions reject Socialism, reject Communism – and here in Detroit, I'm afraid we embrace the Detroit Lions [only National Football League team never to have played in the Super Bowl.]
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 2, Block B: John Fund, NRO, and David Drucker, Hoover and Washington Examiner, in re: Carly Fiorina, a vid of her speaking to a group of women; "I have the face of 61-year-old woman and have earned and am proud of every wrinkle." Both Carson and Fiorina are fresh faces, can't tear them down the way you can a conventional or bombastic pol.  Dr Carson apologized most carefully to the businessman from New York.  He spoke to the Eagle Forum – measured; the anti-Trump. Dr Carson's ratings went way up while he was on vacation for two weeks.  The only way to attack Fiorina is her HP record and her retirement package; otherwise, she's the best-spoken GOP candidate. Marco Rubio awaits Jeb Bush's withdrawal; is a generation younger and a more dynamic personality. Scott Walker messed up by diversifying too much, nobody knew what he stood for.   Ted Cruz counts on Trump's coming back down to earth.
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 2, Block C:  Richard A Epstein, Hoover via Defining Ideas, Chicago Law, NYU Law, in re: Filtering the Clean Water Act   In an overdue setback for the regulatory state, a judge reins in the EPA.  The 1972 Clean War Act: began in 1948, then expanded in '72.  Massive pollution of a river out West, the Animus River, destroyed by EPA as it was trying to do something, the water became a yellow sludge. The EPA administrator apologized; nobody held to account, nobody fired.   . . .  The EPA at its discretion is now allowed to require a permit of anyone who turns over a shovelful of soil within 4,000 feet of a waterway.  . . .   Recall the Woody Allen joke: "When the Teachers Union got the bomb, we were all sunk." (1 of 2)
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 2, Block D: Richard A Epstein, Hoover via Defining Ideas, Chicago Law, NYU Law, in re: Filtering the Clean Water Act   In an overdue setback for the regulatory state, a judge reins in the EPA. . . . Lake Champlain. What you want to do is stop high-risk pollution, not beat up on poor landowners far from a waterway and having no effect on it. (2 of 2)

Hour Three
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 3, Block A:  Pastor William Devlin, REDEEM! and co-pastor of Infinity Bible Church, Bronx, in re: In Gaza, in Gaza City, about five miles west of the Israeli border in the Zatoon neighborhood, 15 mi from the Rafah Crossing. On 19 July 2015(?), five separate car bombings, where Hamas was thought to be too cozy with Jerusalem in keeping ISIS sympathizers out of Gaza. It's har to leave Gaza – if you're between 15 and 50 and male almost impossible to leave by Eretz (northern) crossing.  Most tunnels from Egypt to Gaza and reverse have been destroyed since Egypt is really tired of depredation by Gazans.  Hundreds of tunnels, big enough to drive a car through. Tunnels all either destroyed or filled with human sewage; then for a km on Egyptian (Sinai) side, houses bulldozed.   Islamic Jihad/Iranian money arriving in Gaza? Haven't heard of that ; Israel controls almost all money going into Gaza, so it'd have to be smuggled in on a person's body, through one of the remaining tunnels or the Eretz Crossing (not likely!). So Hamas is probably starved for cash.
Gaza rocked by suspected ISIS car bomb attacks on Hamas ... - ISIS fanatics are thought to have carried out five coordinated car-bomb attacks in Gaza today, targeting members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 3, Block B: Pastor William Devlin, REDEEM! and co-pastor of Infinity Bible Church, Bronx, in re:
Report: Gaza Jihadist Group Pledges to ISIS  The Gaza-based terrorist group Jaysh al Islam [Army of Islam] has reportedly pledged its services to the Islamic State terror group's branch in ...
Monday  14 September 2015  / Hour 3, Block C:  Liz Peek, Fiscal Times, in re: One reason voters see Mrs. Clinton as inauthentic, is that she is inauthentic.  She has much to be inauthentic about – her efforts to expunge possibly troublesome emails, the unseemly and possibly criminal activities of the Clinton Foundation, her purposeful deception about the causes of the Benghazi disaster, her middling performance as secretary of state (note: Russia “reset”), the numerous past scandals that have dogged her for decades.
It is hard for Hillary to shake off these challenges and reboot. Especially when her campaign staff for reasons unknown broadcasts the campaign makeover aka “reset” plan to the New York Times. The tip undermined the relaunch as pundits across the country mocked her carefully crafted attempts to become more spontaneous and likeable. That’s like John Harbaugh announcing a new offense strategy against the New England Patriots, the day before the Ravens take to the field. In a word, self-defeating.
Not for the first time do we wonder if there is a mole in the Clinton camp. When your strategists worry publicly that your game plan isn’t working, that your backers are alarmed, that “previous attempts to introduce Mrs. Clinton’s softer side to voters have backfired amid criticism that the efforts seemed overly poll tested,” they are not helping your cause. Nor is it helpful to publicize that it was a focus group in New Hampshire that finally drove Mrs. Clinton to apologize for her email problems, rather than her own instincts.
The harsh truth is that Hillary has no political instincts. The Times reports that “the coming months will also be a period of trying to shed her scriptedness” – a word surely coined for Mrs. Clinton. A natural politician (like her husband) would have known better than to stalk off from a news conference, complaining that it was only the media that cared about her emails. A natural campaigner would never have allowed reporters to be roped off, or alienated early on by snide remarks and derision. Those were not just stupid mistakes, they were costly.
No wonder that Bill will soon be hitting the campaign trail. Someone needs to come in and clean up the mess.
